Input sought on proposed new park

Three community design meetings have been scheduled to obtain public input regarding a proposed new park development in central Garden Grove.

The proposed site is a one-acre portion of the proposed 14-acre Brookhurst Triangle development. The Brookhurst Triangle is bordered by Brookhurst Street, Garden Grove Boulevard, and Brookhurst Way.

It is located adjacent to the Korean Business District along Garden Grove Boulevard. Public input is welcomed at any one of the following meetings:

• Thursday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m., at Kiwanisland, 9840 Larson Avenue

• Thursday, Nov. 19, 6 p.m., at Sunnyside Elementary, 9972 Russell Avenue

• Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m., at Ramada Inn, 10022 Garden Grove Boulevard

The City is seeking public input on the preliminary conceptual designs of the park. Residents within a half-mile radius of the proposed park project site are encouraged to attend.

Refreshments will be provided at the meetings. For more information on the community design meetings, call (714) 741-5200 or visit www.ci.gardengrove.ca.us.
