Three public hearings, including one for the expansion of a cemetery, will be on the agenda of the Garden Grove Planning Commission on Thursday, Nov. 19.
The planners will meet at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
Items on the agenda will be:
• the amendment of the municipal code relating to group homes, board and lodging facilities, and child day care;
• a plan to build a two-story 2,166-square foot home on a lot with an existing home to create a duplex at 10172 Imperial Ave.;
• a proposal to expand the Magnolia Memorial Park, 12242 Magnolia Ave. by moving the property line of the adjacent Garden Grove Friends Church. The move would allow the cemetery to add 220 burial plots and 768 niches.
All three are recommended for approval by city planning staff.
