Girls basketball teams from the Garden Grove-Stanton-Westminster area had a mixed night on Thursday.
Two teams won while three were defeated.
In the Empire League, Pacifica fell to Cypress 62-35.
But in the Orange League, both Western and Magnolia won. The Pioneers beat Santa Ana Valley 42-27 and the Sentinels crushed Anaheim 54-13.
Golden West League action saw Westminster fall to Saddleback 35-20 and Orange was edged by Ocean View 48-46.
