The CIF Southern Section boys and girls soccer playoffs start this week, with wild card games today (Tuesday) and first round contests Thursday and Friday.
In a Division 5 boys wild card game today, Bolsa Grande is hosting South Pasadena. The winner will visit Baldwin Park.
First round boys action involving teams from the Garden Grove-Stanton-Westminster area Thursday will be as follows:
Division 5: Pioneer Valley at Los Amigos, Garden Grove at Ganesha and Santiago at Lakeside.
For girls, the schedule looks like this on Friday:
Division 3: The winner of the Fullerton-Cerritos wild card team at Pacifica.
Division 4: Rim of the World at Magnolia.
Division 5: Orange at Oaks Christian, Santiago at Downey, Paramount at Los Amigos.
