A 46-year-old Anaheim man has been arrested on murder charges in the stabbing death of a Garden Grove man Monday afternoon.
Luciano Gilberto Flores will be arraigned Wednesday on homicide charges. The victim was identified as Jason David Van Horn, 41.
According to Lt. Robert Fowler of the Garden Grove Police Department, the incident was reported at 12:50 p.m. at 13045 Magnolia St. Firefighters and paramedics found the body of Vanhorn and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police found witnesses who said that the two men, whom they believed to be friends, got into an argument that turned physical. One of the witnesses told police he tried to separate the two, but that at moment Flores allegedly stabbed Vanhorn and fled in his vehicle.
Garden Grove police learned that Flores had a former address in Anaheim. Police there, with the aid of a helicopter, were able to locate and stop Flores’ car and make the arrest.
The investigation is continuing.
