Westminster police are investigating a brawl involving up to a dozen people that took place outside a restaurant Sunday night.
According to Officer Van Woodson of the Westminster Police Department, the fight was reported at 8:10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hot Pot City restaurant, 15056 Brookhurst St. The combatants had left the area before officers arrived.
Two victims who had suffered stab wounds were found. One had been taken to a local hospital by friends and a second had wandered into a nearby Fountain Valley neighborhood, where he asked for help from a resident, who called police.
Both victims are expected to survive their wounds.
Preliminary investigation indicates the assaults are gang-related, according to Officer Woodson. Both victims, police say, have previous police contact records involving known gang affiliation. Suspects are described as male Asians in their late teens or early 20s. The motive for the attack is being investigated.
