Home invasion in GG nets jewelry and cash

Two men posing as police officers robbed a family of jewelry and cash in a home invasion robbery Tuesday afternoon in Garden Grove.

Police report that the incident took place in the 10500 block of Woodbury Road at 5 p.m. Two suspects claiming to be police officers entered the home, then bound the occupants – an 11-year-old boy and a woman – with plastic ties. Using the boy to translate their demands into Vietnamese, the suspects ransacked the house and left with an unknown amount of jewelry and cash, according to Lt. Travis Whitman.

The victims were not injured and the suspects did not display weapons.

The robbers were described as a male adult in his mid-thirties, tall with a thin build, and a male adult in his mid-thirties, shorter with a medium build.
