Vendors selling everything from fresh produce to exotic cookies crowded the sides of Main Street on Sunday during the opening of the new Garden Grove Farmers Market.
From Mayor William Dalton to Assemblyman Van Tran, many of Garden Grove residents and political leaders came out to support the street vendors who are bringing locally-grown fruits and vegetables and homemade goods back after a year-long hiatus, said the new markets operator, Lee Ostendorf.
“This is wonderful, we‘re so happy it‘s back and beautiful,” Garden Grove resident Nancy Schager said. “There is more variety than the last market.”
The market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Sunday on Main between Garden Grove Boulevard and Acacia Parkway.
