Help asked in solving fatal hit-and-run

Police in Westminster are asking the public’s help in solving a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian in July.

According to Officer Van Woodson of the Westminster Police Department, police are hoping that someone who witnessed the incident can help identify the driver involved.

The incident took place on Saturday, July 17 at about 2:25 a.m. Kenneth Lindeman of Westminster, 68, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and Milan Street, between Springdale Street and Bolsa Chica Road.

The driver of the car fled the scene. The victim was taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
