Former President Bill Clinton made a visit to Santa Ana Friday to rally support behind Democratic candidates in the Nov. 2 election. The event took place outside the Old Orange County Courthouse. Among those welcoming Clinton were State Sen. Lou Correa (D-Santa Ana) and Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove), pictured above at right. Sanchez is a 14-year veteran of Congress who is facing a tough battle to keep her 47th District seat in the face of a strong challenge from Republican State Assemblyman Van Tran. The 47th District includes most of Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Anaheim as well as portions of other cities. The race between the two is considered to be close.
