The Lions’ running attack propelled them to the Golden West League win Friday night. Westminster was led by Tarik Rayford’s three TDs, and improved to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in league. Rayford finished with 180 yards rushing. The Lions are tied for third place with Ocean View.
Santiago 27, Bolsa Grande 6
Breaking a three-game losing streak, the Cavaliers posted their first Garden Grove League win of 2010 Friday night at Garden Grove Stadium. Daniel Torres rushed for 80 yards and one score for the Cavs (27-6, 1-3); Salvatore Ceja had two TDs. Bolsa (0-9, 04) got its lone TD on the return of a Cavalier fumble.
Rancho Alamitos 49, Los Amigos 10
The Vaqueros rolled up a 28-3 halftime lead and never looked back in winning Friday night at Bolsa Grande Stadium. Rancho (3-6, 3-1) moved into second place in the GGL and a likely CIF playoff spot. Miguel Carrion had three scores for RA and Brett Hurley two. Los Amigos (3-6, 2-2) was led by Daniel Hernandez with 145 yards passing and one score.
