An 8-year-old Westminster boy riding a bicycle died Wednesday morning after a collision with a car.
According to Officer Van Woodson of the Westminster Police Department, the incident took place around 8 a.m. in the area of Choctaw Drive and Iroquois Road in Westminster.
The youth was identified as Andrew Brumback, a third grader at Sequoia Elementary School in Westminster.
The bicyclist collided with a 2005 Ford Freestyle sport utility driven by Anita Cherry, 47, of Westminster. She was not injured. No arrests have been made and alcohol does not appear to be a favor in the accident, according to Officer Woodson.
It’s believed that Brumback was on his way to school at the time of the incident and was wearing a bike helmet. WPD officers have met with school officials and a notification letter sent to parents of children attending the school.
Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to call the WPD Traffic Division at (714) 548-3220.

My thoughts and prayers go to the family, I personally did not know Andrew, but my child goes to Sequioa and asked me to read him the letter in which I did and he started crying and I explained it was an accident and God was missing his Angel, so he picked Andrew up and he no longer feels any pain. Keeping the family in my Prayers and my God Bless you…
