Woman is killed in fall from car on freeway

Police are still investigating the death of a woman who apparently fell out of a moving vehicle on the Garden Grove Freeway Saturday morning.

According to Lt. Jeff Nightengale of the Garden Grove Police Department, the GGPD was notified by Santa Ana police that a women who had “jumped out of her vehicle” on the eastbound freeway at Magnolia Street was now in their city.

She was pronounced dead at residence in Santa Ana by fire and police.

The driver of the vehicle was questioned: he told authorities the woman had jumped or fallen out of the car.  He stopped and picked her up and took her to his home in Santa Ana. A follow-up investigation at the scene led police to decided that the woman fell out of the car, striking her head and suffering blunt force trauma.
