A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the murder of Martin Blanco Trujillo, 30, of Stanton.
On Friday Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. Trujillo was found shot in the upper torso at the intersection of Flower Street and Chester Street in the City of Stanton. According to Jim Amormino, the public information officer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, witnesses to the event say that Trujillo was involved in a verbal altercation concerning a female in the moments before his death.
“It is believed that the female was known to both Trujillo and the assailant or assailants,” said Amormino.
In a press conference in Stanton City Hall Tuesday morning, the mother and brother of Trujillo made a plea for members of the public who know who killed Trujillo to come forward.
“This incident is not gang-related,” emphasized Amormino, “We are not sure how many suspects there are, but we believe there are multiple witnesses. Investigators have executed multiple search warrants. The concern here is that you have killers, cold-blooded killers.”
“He was a good man, a good son,” said Maria Trujillo, the mother of the victim, in a tearful plea to the public, “I don’t want any other families to go through this.”
Persons with information related to this murder are asked to call 1-866-TIP-OCSD or (714) 628-7170 at any time, day or night.
