Jerry Saldivar rushed for two touchdowns and Danny Hernandez passed for 110 yards as the Lobos defeated the Argonauts Thursday night in the Garden Grove League opener for both teams. The Lobos improved to 5-1 overall. The Argos, led by C.J. Del Real’s two TDs, fell to 1-5.
Magnolia 14, Anaheim 11
The Sentinels (2-4) won their second straight game in this Orange League opener Thursday night at Western’s Handel Stadium. Waseem Akbar led the Sents with 153 yards passing and one touchdown. Hector Escobar had 72 yards rushing and one TD. Anaheim is 2-4.
