Fivelocal teams will open play this Friday in the CIF Southern Section football playoffs, two at home and two on the road.
Rancho Alamitos (9-1) will host Woodbridge (5-5), the third place team from the Pacific Coast League, at Bolsa Grande Stadium. The Vaqueros are the Garden Grove League champions.
Los Amigos (8-2), the number two GGL team, will host Costa Mesa (8-2), the second place team from the Orange Coast League, at Garden Grove Stadium.
Garden Grove (4-6), the GGL’s third entry and the defending CIF Southern Division champs, will visit Segerstrom (8-2), the Golden West champs.
Westminster (4-6), the Golden West third place team, will visit Corona del Mar (8-2), the Pacific Coast League runnerup.
Magnolia (4-6), the Orange League third place team, will visit Estancia (8-2), the Orange Coast League champ.
