A woman was fatally injured running across Haster Street in Garden Grove Friday night.
The woman, who was not identified, was struck at about 7:13 p.m. on the street south of Chapman Avenue, according to Lt. Jeff Nightengale, spokesman for the Garden Grove Police Department.

It’s believed she was crossing Haster between Chapman and Allard avenues while not in a crosswalk. A white van driving on Haster Street struck her. The driver of the vehicle stopped and stayed with the victim until paramedics and police arrived.
The driver made a statement to police. Alcohol was not a factor, said police.
The Orange County Coroner’s office is conducting an investigation into the death. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call Investigator Jason Perkins at (714) 741-5823.

i knew her she was my homie her name is sarah i loved her rip my love <3
Unfortunately the poor guy that hit her will get his A*s sued off for doing everything right.
There are always many personages including families w/ very small children running across the streets around that area. It’s very dangerous for both drivers and the nuts who are too lazy to use the crosswalks to get to the various shops and food places nearby. I have to practically drive minus 1mph around there on the unfortunate occasion that I must pass through.
