A man police believe twice held up the Bank of the West in Garden Grove has been arrested.
According to Sgt. Michael Martin of the Garden Grove Police Department, the suspect – as yet unidentified by police – was arrested Friday at his h
ome in Santa Ana.
He is a suspect in robberies in Tustin, Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa as well as Garden Grove. Officers from those cities set up surveillance of the home after Fountain Valley police received information about the suspect.
The man was arrested and search warrant served, turning up $1700 in cash, which could include marked bills. He was booked into Orange County Jail on three charges of bank robbery.
Bank of the West is located at 12976 Main St. (at Garden Grove Boulevard). The robberies were on Sept. 27 and Dec. 12, 2011.
