Rancho’s Jim Roll is GGL baseball MVP

Jim Roll of Rancho Alamitos High has been named most valuable player for baseball in the Garden Grove League.

The GGL champs landed a total of eight players on the all-star teams chosen by league coaches.

Named to the first team were Jake Escandon (Bolsa Grande), Anthony Phan and

Eric Peters (La Quinta), Adrian Castillo (Los Amigos), Chris Williams, Nate Anderson, Christian Smith and Ralph Ceja (Garden Grove), Brian Alvarado, Jake Crawford and Devin Apodaca (Rancho Alamitos) and Frankie Raigoza (Santiago).

Named to the second team were Mike Napoles (Bolsa Grande), Jonathan Marriot and Alex Guizar (La Quinta), Gerald Hernandez and Jorge Bedolla (Los Amigos), Andrew Pactwa (Garden Grove), D.J. Cortez, Anthony Olivas, Louie Alcocer and Brett Hurley (Rancho Alamitos, Oscar Jasso, Alex Salcido and Omar Ordiano (Santiago).
