Two public hearings for GG planners

Two public hearings are on the agenda for Thursday’s meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission.

One will be a request to modify zoning along Harbor Boulevard to allow up to 25 percent of the square footage of a retail center to be devoted to professional office (including medical) use.

The applicant is Harbor Plaza, located at the northeast corner of Harbor and Garden Grove boulevards.

The second hearing will be a request for a general plan amendment and a revised conditional use permit for a restaurant at 12332 Brookhurst St. to have live entertainment in the from of karaoke, along with expansion of business hours to allow it to stay open until 12:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and to 2 a.m. Thursday through Sunday.

The commission meets at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove.
