A proposal to allow live entertainment at a West Garden Grove hot spot will go before the Garden Grove City Council Tuesday night.
An ordinance to allow the modification of a planned unit development at 12572 Valley View St. would clear the way for the On The Rocks Bar and Grill to put in a rai
sed stage and have entertainment in the form of a two-piece band and karaoke.
The proposal would make possible the integration of the existing 3,305-square foot second floor of the restaurant with the rest of the eatery for overflow seating.
Also on the agenda for Tuesday night are assessments for the Main Street Assessment District and the Garden Grove Street Lighting District, as well as a proposed agreement with the Arab American Council for the staging of the 2012 Arab American Festival.
The council will be asked to approved an agreement to allow the use of the Village Green Park at Euclid and Main streets Sept. 28-30 for the festival.
The festival group will reimburse the city for any direct costs such as police support in an amount of at least $7500.
The Garden Grove City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove.
