In Little League District 46 Major All-Stars tournament play, West Garden Grove edged Garden Grove Central 6-5 in an eight-inning contest. The Central team led 5-3 through five innings, but the westsiders tied it up in the sixth and sent it into extra innings. At left, West GG’s Matt Mostenko gets a hit off GG Central’s Francisco Cadiz. Garden Grove Central won the championships for the 10 and 11-year-old division and the junior division (13-14). Each team be in Section 10 play on Saturday. The Junior All-Stars will play at 10 a.m. at Ocean View High School, hosted by District 62 and the Ocean View Little League. The 10-11 All-Stars play at 2 p.m. at Modjeska Park,
