The introduction of four new top administrators will be made at Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education.
The new administrators will be presented by Joli Armitage (assistant superintendent for personnel services), Gabriela Mafi (assistant superintendent for secondary education), Lorraine Rae (executive director, special education) and Sara Wescott (assistant superintendent for elementary education).
Also on the agenda is the appointment of Marilyn Tortolano to a three-year term on the GGUSD’s Personnel Commission. Tortolano has been serving on the board finishing out an unexpired term.
The commission oversees the hiring, classification and other matters relating to “classified” employees such as secretaries, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, maintenance technicians, etc.
The school board meets at 7 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Education Center, 10331 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove.
