The La Quinta Aztecs improved their pre-league record to 2-2 with a convincing 45-20 win over California City Thursday night at Bolsa Grande Stadium.
The blue-and-gold were led by versatile quarterback Don Tran, who ran for one score threw for two more in the lopsided win. Tran finished with 87 yards rushing and 201 through the air, including scoring strikes of 43- and 44-yards to Al Tran.
La Quinta is back in action Thursday, visiting Saddleback at Santa Ana Stadium.
