A man allegedly trying to burglarize a home in Garden Grove Wednesday morning got a bullet in his leg for his troubles.
According to Garden Grove police, officer responded at 9:08 a.m. to a call about a homeowner in the 9000 block of Chapman Avenue struggling with an intruder. Moments later, it was reported that the homeowner was armed and “possibly” had shot the suspect.
When police arrived, they arrested the suspect – a parolee at large – for residential burglary, and paramedics treated the man for a single gunshot wound to the leg.
The name of the arrestee was not released. He was described only as a male Hispanic in his twenties.
