A fourth quarter surge propelled Calvary Chapel of Santa Ana past Bolsa Grande 17-7 in a non-league game Thursday night at the Matador stadium.
Bolsa led 7-3 until the Eagles scored twice in the late going. The Matadors were led by Josh Borbon’s 138 yards passing, including a 20-yard scoring toss to Noel Sandoval. He also was the top rusher with 37 yards.
The loss put Bolsa’s season record at 1-4. The Matadors will open Garden Grove League play Friday visiting Santiago at Garden Grove Stadium.
