The Westminster Lions lost their final pre-league game Friday night, falling to Buena Park 28-7 at Boswell Field.
A second quarter 1-yard touchdown run by Steven Anderson brought the Lions (1-4) to within seven, but that was all the scoring Westminster could muster. Anderson rushed for 78 yards and passed for 53 more in the loss.
Westminster will start Golden West League play Thursday against Orange (3-2) at Fred Kelly Stadium.
