Pacifica smashes Kennedy 42-0

Pacifica won its Empire League opener Friday night, smashing Kennedy 42-0 at Garden Grove Stadium.

The Mariners (3-2, 1-0) benefitted from six Fighting Irish turnovers. Avery Watson and Michael Gehres each ran for two TDs, and quarterback Nick Howard threw for 103 yards and one score.

Pacifica resumes Empire League play Friday, visiting Tustin (6-0, 2-0).
