Friday’s Empire League football contest for Western was a tough one, as the Pioneers were beaten 56-13 at Handel Field by Yorba Linda High.
Western (3-3 overall, 0-2 in league) got a good performance from Jeremiah Knott, who ran for one score on a 58-yard romp and racked up 125 yards rushing, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
The Pioneers will visit Valencia (3-3, 1-1) on Thursday.
