Celebrating GG’s ‘Seoul’

This year is the 29-year anniversary of the Korean Festival of Orange County, taking place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9828 Garden Grove Blvd.  in Garden Grove.

The festival pays homage to the dancing, food, music and community of Korean Americans.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

There is no admission fee to attend the event, held in the city’s “Koreatown” district,

On Saturday there is a “Turtle Walk” parade, a slow-paced walk featuring characters and costumes that relate to the festival. The parade starts at 2:30 p.m. on Garden Grove Boulevard between Brookhurst Way and Magnolia Street.

According to the festival’s website, the Koreatown area along Garden Grove Boulevard is host to over 3,000 Korean businesses serving the approximately over 250,000 residents of Orange County of Korean descent.
