Garden Grove 56, Los Amigos 14
What was billed as a showdown for the Garden Grove League title turned into a rout Thursday night at Garden Grove Stadium.
The Argonauts (5-2 overall, 2-0 in league) scored early and often en route to the convincing win, rolling up an early 21-0 lead and cruising to the victory. Sione Masoe ran for three touchdowns and C.J. Del Real two, including one on an 82-yard kickoff return.

Angel Martinez threw for 142 yards and two scores, both to Josh Huff.
Los Amigos (4-3, 1-1) was led by Jerry Salvidar with 86 yards and a TD, along with Anthony Magana, who passed for 102 yards and one score.
Grove next will host Santiago while Los Amigos meets Bolsa Grande.
Pacifica 39, Western 0
The Mariners (4-3, 2-1) won big at Bolsa Grande Stadium Thursday, putting up a 30-0 halftime lead and coasting to the Empire League win. Nick Howard threw for three touchdowns and 285 yards in the win.
The Pioneers (3-5, 0-4) got 95 yards rushing from Frankie Jorquez.
Next week’s matchups will pit Western against Kennedy and Pacifica against Valencia.
Westminster 35, Santa Ana 0
Looking like a contender for the Golden West League title, the Lions rolled past the Saints Thursday night at Boswell field.
Nathan Juarez led the attack with two touchdown runs and 84 yards rushing, along with quarterback Steven Anderson, who threw for 211 yards and one score.
Westminster (3-4, 2-0) will visit Ocean View Friday night.
A 20-point fourth quarter turned a close contest into a runaway Thursday night at Glover Stadium. The Panthers broke open a 14-7 contest with three scores to secure the Golden West League win.
Orange (4-3, 1-1) was led by Aaron Aguilar (158 yards rushing, one touchdown) and QB Lorenzo Rosario (139 yards passing, two touchdowns).
The Panthers next host Segerstrom Thursday at Fred Kelly Stadium.
