A proposed ordinance allowing the city to require reservations to use park facilities is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Stanton City Council.
Financial cutbacks in Stanton have closed some city parks and reduced hours at others. The proposed ordinance would give the city the power to require reservations at parks.
Also on the agenda are annual audit reports for 2012 and a proposed ordinance increasing the penalty for illegally using shopping carts and solicitation in commercial areas from infractions to misdemeanors.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m at City Hall, 7800 Katella Ave., Stanton, just west of Beach Boulevard.
