SANTA ANA (AP) – A Southern California man has been convicted of murder for the stabbing death of a man during a drug deal dispute.
Orange County prosecutors say 23-year-old Johnathan Allen Kincaid faces life in prison without possibility of parole when he’s sentenced on April 26.
A Superior Court jury on Tuesday convicted Kincaid of special circumstances murder in the commission of a robbery with a sentencing enhancement for using a deadly weapon.
Prosecutors say Kincaid met 31-year-old Tayroh Stinson for a drug buy in Garden Grove in July 2009. There was an argument and Stinson was stabbed to death.
Kincaid was arrested months later in Las Vegas.
