The most important part of Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council could well be happening in the closed session.

Before the public session at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 11300 Stanford Ave., the council convenes first at 5:30 p.m. in the Founders’ Room for a meeting not open to the general public.

There, the city leaders will take up legal and real estate matters, which include two potential lawsuits, and negotiation for the sale of at least five pieces of property in connection with the development of Harbor Boulevard for planned hotel and mixed-use projects.

Topping the agenda of the public portion of the meeting will be mostly housekeeping work, including approval of $230,940 to Simon Wong Engineering for engineering services assessing the condition of eight concrete water reservoirs, as well as $513,248 with ABM services to provide janitorial services over a three-year period.

The next scheduled meeting of the city council is Tuesday, March 26.
