A proposal to establish a park ranger program will be considered by Stanton City Council when it meets Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Responding to public complaints about some facilities, especially Hollenbeck Park in Cerritos Avenue, the city is considering establishing the rangers.

The program would consist of two part-time staff assigned to patrol and monitor city parks, fields and facilities enforcing rules, codes and ordinance, resolving disputes among park patrons and educating the public on park use.

Also on the agenda for Tuesday is a mid-year budget review, and the awarding of a $1,014,774.80 contract to R.J. Noble Company for the citywide street rehabilitation program.

The council meets in the City Hall, 7800 Katella Ave. (at Cedar Street) west of Beach Boulevard.
