Another step forward on the development of a major hotel-retail project on Harbor Boulevard goes before the Garden Grove City Council when it meets Tuesday night.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. in the council chamber at the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
On the consent calendar is an item calling for the appropriation of $240,000 for relocation costs and other expenses for the “Site C” project. That’s located on a 5.5-acre site on the east side of Harbor at Twintree Street.
Slated for that location is the development of three hotels including conference space and retail, dining and entertainment uses.
Funding for the relocation and other costs will come from the proceeds of the sale of city assets and property.
Also on the agenda are:
• a request from Boy Scout Troop 1103 for co-sponsorship of the 12th annual Cub Scout Pushcart Derby on Sunday, Oct. 20 on Springdale Street.
• a recommendation to add the Chapman Avenue/Lamplighter Street intersection to the city’s traffic signal priority list.
