According to the Orange County District Attorney’s office, Bryan William Anast, 45, of Corona, is charged with four felony counts of sexual assault of a child –– an 11-year-old relative –– as well as one felony count of possession and control of child pornography, and a sentencing enhancement for forcible sex crimes.
He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in West Justice Center in Westminster. If convicted of all charges, he faces a maximum sentence of 63 years to life in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.
According to the D.A., Anast is accused of forcibly penetrating the girl on at least four different occasions in three different locales between Nov. 2, 1997 and Nov. 1, 2000.
The assaults were reported in May 2013 and Anast was arrested at Disneyland, where he worked as a machinist fixing rides.
During an investigation and search at Anast’s home on June 20, investigators allegedly found several child pornography videos.
